COVID-19 UPDATE & RESPONSE

COVID-19 UPDATE & RESPONSE

We ran our camp over the last 2 summers where the pandemic peaked and it was very safe thanks to our precautions and your cooperation. Let’s continue to work together to provide a safe, fun and productive summer for the children.

Safety guidelines for our camp include:

1) If your child is sick then please keep him/her at home.

2) All staff and campers will consistently use hand sanitizer available before, during and after activities.

3) Groups will be kept separate during the camp to limit exposure to children from other groups. Kids will stay with their groups the whole time and won’t have the option of switching groups midweek. We will continue to monitor but as of now the age groups are:

  • All Stars (younger age group): Half the day soccer, half the day general sports/games.
  • Victory (middle age group): Half the day soccer, half the day general sports/games.
  • Champions (older age group) Soccer most of the day, small portion to general sports.

4) We will remind everyone daily to:

  • Avoid hand contact (i.e. handshakes, “high fives”, etc.).
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with their hands.
  • Cover mouth when coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid sharing water bottles, drinks or food.

5) Each group will eat separately.

6) We will disinfect equipment before, during and after activities.

7) Any common area used by our players will be monitored and cleaned multiple times a day.

8) Car pool. Please don’t enter the building. We will escort your child in and out. We are currently planning for campers to stay on their fields. When their parent arrives, we will bring your child out. It will take a little longer but it will help keep the groups separated and adhere to the social distancing.

We are continuing to monitor all the safety guidelines to provide the safest camp in Palm Beach County. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

What happens if someone has COVID-19 and attends the camp?

If a child attends camp and has covid-19 then he/she will have to refrain from attending camp for 10 days and provide us proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to returning.

If a child was exposed to someone with COVID-19 (spent 15 minutes or more during the day within 6 feet of the person with COVID-19), the child who was exposed should quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. If the child has no symptoms, then they can resume on day 11. If you have no symptoms and would like to shorten the quarantine, then you can do so if you take the test on day 5 and it’s negative.

* Please note that due to the ongoing uncertainty around the virus, these guidelines are subject to change.
